I honestly can't stop singing along to this catchy new fusion of R&B + Indie Soul from Pretty Sister. "Come To LA" is Pretty Sister's "NSFW open letter to long distance lust". With a silky smooth voice and a groovy bass line, this record is pure gold. Wanting to take the west coast sound further to develop it for the future is Sister's (patent pending) "Z-funk" sound.
Like P-Funk in the ‘70s and G-funk in the ‘90s, Pretty Sister pushes funk into its next incarnation, adding a dash of modern flash and arriving at a sound called “Z-funk.”
