Legendary emcee R.A. The Rugged Man announces the "Definition Of A Rap Flow" contest. Prizes include $500 cash and a Mr. Green-produced vinyl single pressed up by Nature Sounds. Judges include R.A. The Rugged Man, Talib Kweli, Locksmith, Murs, Vinnie Paz, Tonedeff, Twiztid, Rittz, and Jean Grae.
THE CONTEST.
- Record an original rap song over the "Definition Of A Rap Flow" instrumental, or one of the three Mr. Green instrumentals on R.A. The Rugged Man's new album Legends Never Die. Your song must include a reference to the "Definition Of A Rap Flow" video and Legends Never Die. Our celebrity judges will choose the winner. If you've ever wanted your music to be heard by R.A. The Rugged Man, Talib Kweli, Locksmith, Murs, Vinnie Paz, Tonedeff, Twiztid, Rittz, and Jean Grae, this is your chance.
- Beats are available for download here: https://soundcloud.com/ratheruggedman/sets/contest-instrumentals. We'll also accept submissions over other R.A. The Rugged Man instrumentals, if you'd rather dig in the crates for another beat.
- Songs can be submitted as audio or music video. Submit audio on Soundcloud, or email YouTube links to contest@nature-sounds.net.
- Check out all the audio entires on Soundcloud, and all the video entries on YouTube.
- All songs must be submitted by September 30th, 2014. Winner will be announced October 10th.
THE PRIZES.
- Grand prize: $500 cash + an exclusive original beat produced by Mr. Green and mixed by multi-platinum Grammy-winning engineer Chris Conway (credits include Big Pun, Big L, Eminem, The Notorious B.I.G., Rakim, the entire Legends Never Die album, and more). The song you record over that beat will be pressed on a limited-edition 7-inch vinyl single by Nature Sounds.
