OK-Tho:
First off congrats on all your success so far in 2014.

Analogic:
Thank you. I'm very excited for what the future holds for me this year and the years to come.

OK-Tho:
Did you teach yourself how to produce mostly or was there someone helping you?

Analogic:
I pretty much taught myself. I would listen to beats and producers that I was really into at the time and I would disect their formulas, patterns, sample chops, drums etc... This was before the YouTube era so there weren't any tutorials or many sites to help speed up the process.

OK-Tho:
Were there a lot of local artists and producers around you that were trying to get in the Hip Hop scene as well as you?

Analogic:
No not really. I grew up in Hamilton NJ right outside of Trenton and at the time there wasn't much going on.

OK-Tho:
Before you were Analogic, were there any other names you had?

Analogic:
Optimist.. That was my rap name.. Yeah, I rapped for about a year before I found that production was my passion.

OK-Tho:
Tell me the first piece of production equipment you bought? Do you still have it?

Analogic:
Mpc2000xl and yes I still have it although it's out of commission.

OK-Tho:
Who would you say are your most influential producers?

Analogic:
Dre, Premier, Dilla, Timbaland, 9th wonder, and most of the producers I came up with, !llmind, Khrysis, Jake One, Black Milk.

OK-Tho:
What was the first beat and track you produced for an artist?

Analogic:
First track I did was for my artist EAST. First track I did with another artist was Soulstice featuring Wordsworth back in 04.

OK:
How did you link up with DJ K.O and his Elementality Productions?

Analogic:
I met him in New Brunswick NJ at a beat battle I entered and won back in 04.

OK:
Back when everyone was still on Myspace, I remember discovering K.O. and linking up with him. And was totally hooked on Madkem's single "Just So You Know", that beat was dope. Is that track by anyway a favorite of yours?

Analogic:
Of course I love all the work from Kem whether I produced it or not dude is nice!

OK:
You got the opportunity to work with Masta Ace, Words, Phonte and K-Hill on "Ladder Of Success" as well as Kenn Starr on "Let It Be Known". What other big name artists have you had the pleasure of working with?

Analogic:
AZ, Talib Kweli, KRS One, GLC, Naledge, Emilio Rojas, Torae, Skyzoo, Shabbam Sahdeeq, Sean Price, One Dae, Finale, Kev Brown, Cres, Mykill Myers, Sean Boog, Dilated Peoples. Just off the top of the head.

OK:
WOw! Very very impressive. Do you Keep your ear to any of the new artists coming out today? If so, who are you feeling nowadays?

Analogic:
I love Kendrick Lamar, Nipsy Hustle is dope too, my artist Jered Sanders is a beast too.

OK:
Recently we have seen more of the producer rapper combo with projects. Do you prefer producing a whole project rather than producing a single or two?

Analogic:
I enjoy both but there always something more powerful with a project than just one track with an artist. With a project you get a certain vibe that stands out.

OK:
How did you link up and work with Rashid Hadee on "Serenade for the Moment"?

Analogic:
KO linked me to him and from there it just took off

OK:
I love how your production comes out, especially your drums. Did it take a long time for you to perfect your work? Was there any areas of your production that you spent a lot of time working on?

Analogic:
I'm still perfecting the drum work. Everyday I try and experiment with new patterns, kits etc..I'm now focusing more on instrumentation and less samples. I love the freedom to be able to do whatever you want.

OK:
Your "The Booth Shall Set You Free" album was incredible, what was that process and experience like making that project?

Analogic:
Thank you. Well it was a lengthy process. It took several years for it to pan out. But at the end of the day I'm very pleased with the outcome. Definitely worth the wait.

OK:
What producers of today would you say have impressed you?

Analogic:
I'm really diggin Jahlil, Hitboy, T-minus, Dj-Dahi and Cardiak. I've had the pleasure of doing some Co-production with Cardiak and he's a super talented, inspiring producer.

OK:
Do you DJ at all in venues or for performers on tour?

Analogic:
No unfortunately I don't DJ but I might get into it in the near future

OK:
What artists that you haven't already, would you like to work with and produced for?

Analogic:
Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Nipsy Hustle, Slaughterhouse, Eminem, ASAP Rocky, Just to name a few

OK:
Do you prefer working head up together in the studio or over the net?

Analogic:
Heads up for sure! Nothing beats the energy and vibe working with an artist one on one

OK:
I noticed you sample and create beats from scratch. Do you move from one lane to the other to help stay fresh and not get frustrated to force out beats?

Analogic:
I do more original material nowadays but I do sometimes go back and forth as sampling has always been fun for me.

OK:
Whats next for you in 2014, what can we expect from you music wise?

Analogic:
Right now I'm just focusing on stacking beats, submissions, finishing up a project with Dominique Larue, another project with EAST and another with Silent Knight. Wherever this year takes me I will always be appreciative, humble and ready to leave a mark in hip hop,
