Arguably one of the most well recognized names on the independent hip hop scene, NY Native and artist/producer June Marx is rumored to be working on an upcoming compilation album entitled "Vigilante Vaults Vol.1:Love & War". Temporarily relocating to the North American midwest to work in a different environment, he has been travelling through states such as Illinois, Tennessee, Missouri, Kentucky to gain insight and inspiration. Reconnecting with family and relatives he hasn't seen in years, he states that his new experiences have given him a "fresh perspective on life, love and the future in general". June will be behind the boards as a producer for the upcoming project, although it's almost guaranteed that he will appear on a few tracks. Last year he released 2 projects ("Eve of Victory" in July, "Veterans Day" in November) via Torchbearer Records, and is mostly known for producing his own albums entirely. He states that
"Illinois has always been my home away from home. I grew up in Brooklyn, New York but every summer my mother would send me to Illinois to spend time with my sister and her family. As I got older I would visit during the holidays, so I'm familiar with the lifestyle and the different vibes out here. Spending time in the countryside gives me a chance to recollect my thoughts and review my recent experiences".
"Love & War" will feature artist's hes personally handpicked to record over carefully crafted instrumentals. Marx's signature production style will be present, but will also be accompanied by various instrumentation and new musical influences. As of now the guests haven't been revealed, but he claims the album is 80% completed and will announce a release date and tracklist soon.
Update:
June Marx is also gearing up for the "Heavy Artillery Tour", accompanied by Chicago, IL emcee Resolute and the well known DJ Ambideckstriks.
