Blaque Keyz - The Master Key Principles: A Featured Presentation [Album]

No one has been awaiting this project more than me...ok, maybe like 10 other people, but those don't count considering they are all members of Beautiful Mind/blood relatives. Ok, but seriously, I've been awaiting Keyz to create something masterful for quite sometime now as he has always shown promise and talent with past projects/features.

The project starts by immersing you in the one of a kind Beautiful Mind theater and prepares you for the future because he's light years ahead of all of us. Track one is the first single that he released for the project, "Find Your Love (Act 1).

Forgetting your problems and just relaxing comes naturally while listening to Blaque Keyz and throughout multiple rhyme schemes and slant rhymes, he unlocks your mind with the Master Key. As "True Blue" and "NIMBUS!!!" take it's course, a jazzy/soulful "Rememberies" takes place with a perfect touch of nuance. Recalling on the past leads us to another track we are all familiar with, "Let It Run".

Usually during the high class art forms of theater, you go and go to the washroom, get refreshments, etc...but in this case the "Intermission" is something you don't want to miss. As something that can only be explained as "filthy", Keyz truly keeps his cool.
The second act of "Find Your Love" comes in a slowed down version of the same instrumental and lends the help from Beautiful Mind member Travis Mendes.

...remember that man's faith is tested many times before he is crowned with final victory; remember faith is not something you get, faith is something you already have...

Not sure what "Walking Man" samples, if anything at that, but Keyz does his best to harness a sound that could be described as a mix of Otis Redding and The Drifters while he reminisces about himself and his family.

Another fitting interlude and then the protection of identities takes place with the Keyz + Beautiful Mind hit,  "Witness Protection".

"A 2012 Memoir" is raw and pure passion. No tricks, no gimmicks, no beat to hide behind, just Blaque Keyz and his rapping prowess. Out of all the tracks on this album, this one has my box checked as my favorite just because you can here what music means to him as whole while he proves he can be one of the bests.
Blaque Keyz' debut album comes to an end with another past single that is fit for an encore, "2015 And Beyond".

An album that has been one of my favorites of the year so far has kept me on edge for the past few hours and is bound to do the same for days on end until I pick up every little detail. If you are an avid fan, looking for the "next big thing" or just looking for a new ill lyricist, Blaque Keyz and The Master Key Principles: A Featured Presentation  is it.
