Talented North Carolina artist P.A.T. Junior delivers us with his new project “Just Because I Wanted To Give You A Short Mixtape To Listen To”, which is interlaced with messages of consciousness and introspection – displaying P.A.T.’s unique storytelling ability and unapologetic expression of his art. A refreshing alternative to today’s normal tracklisting, the Just Because mixtape invites the listener to wander his art gallery and approach each piece without notion to the song’s context but challenges him to just hit play, listen and interpret.
“I initially thought this (the mixtape) would be a great way to connect my new online followers to my music and to wrap up the first phase of the ‘Just Because’ series. So the listener gets the first 5 ‘Just Because’ singles that they may have never heard, plus 2 new ones and some introspective interludes coupled with my production. But, the more I began to put pieces together, in addition to taking a random, inspiring trip to the museum, it became clearer what this project was becoming. It's my homage to art as a whole. An encouragement to creators of all trades to make art ‘Just Because’.”
