I'm a pretty big fan of all of Deon's earlier work, but lately kind of forgotten about him. Thankfully he reached out to us regarding his latest material. "roots" reminds me of why I took so much of an attraction to Deon's earlier music and am glad he's still around banging out dope records like this. Deon uses the knxwledge flipped instrumental to rap about his dissociation from much of the rap genre, (mainly characterized by the popular, mainstream music) his upbringing, and his experiences in past relationships. Let "roots" be your new addiction.
