Have you ever thought about being the last man standing? Former battle rapper Nocando takes that and more into account with his latest visual for "Last Man Standing". The South Central rapper doesn't hide behind any fancy production as he wants his words to be heard and thought about.
american success is best measured in nigga sweat
Fifty seconds in, Nocando had me captured and left me wanting more already. Nocando really didn't want his writing to conform to any specific radio track and instead wanted to take more of the real + raw effect, which shows in the Tennyson Turner directed piece.
The song is about perseverance and grace under fire, the video is about not allowing the outside to take you down I guess lol. This is the 1st time in a while I let go of the reigns and didn't write the treatment. Derek Jennings of apotheosis produced it & he's a dude who I've known for a decade plus and trust enough to write a treatment. He used to do spoken word in Leimert park when I was out battling fools, we were in our late teens then.
