The beautiful and talented singer Butterscotch who hails form California, recently released this tribute and cover of Earth Wind and Fire's "September" after hearing the news of the passing of band member Maurice White. Creating a dope acoustic feel, Butterscotch smoothly sooth's the modern Hip Hop version with her warm vocals and even adds a nice flow in the middle.
"Last month, when I heard the news that Maurice White passed away, I was devastated. Earth, Wind and Fire is my favorite band of all time. They represent LOVE, LIGHT and TRUTH and you can’t help but feel lifted by their soulful sound wave vibrations. I made a short Instagram cover of “September” and you requested that I do the full song, so I took some time to record and film my own version and added a tribute rap verse in the middle. I hope you enjoy this song as much as I did making it, as we take a walk down memory lane. EWF was the last show I saw with my father before he died, so every time I play or hear their music, I remember that he is still right here with me. "
