In today's music industry only the catchiest songs hit the radio or go "mainstream". The majority of those tracks get their play-ability through their big names or past huge success, but everyone had to start from somewhere. Sifting through some of my favorite artists, I collected a handful of singles that could at any point be picked up by the radio waves nationwide to blast through your speakers.
Before you continue, I urge you to prepare yourself because you won't be able to get these songs out of your head; you've been warned!
Andrew McMahon - High Dive
I hope you're ready to dance along to someone else's song. Andrew McMahon's "High Dive" off of his album, Andrew McMahon In The Wilderness is a catchy little gem. Now I'm starting off with a little hiccup in the "recent" category because this track is a little over a year old already. However, I could easily see this as a radio hit for the Vanguard Records signee.
MAX - Holla
Moving along to something a little more upbeat and recent, MAX's "Holla" is a club/late night party starter. The new single is a taste of what we can expect more of on Hell's Kitchen Angel due out on April 8th. Good Gawd, holla, holla, holla.
Lost Kings ft. Cosmos & Creature - Marathon
Just a melting pot of some bigger and up and coming artists, the Lost Kings and Cosmos & Creature (Brandyn Burnette + Molly Moore) collide for a track that could be suited for 26.1 hours of playtime. The super fun track could melt any stress away and get that head nodding. Part of The Good EP, this track will find a happy home with more new music from the Lost Kings releasing tomorrow on the 11th.
King Deco - Castaway
Building what can only be one hell of a sturdy foundation for herself is King Deco and her new record, "Castaway". I'm telling you right now, you better get your hobo on and hop on this train while it's at the station. Light and vibrant tropical production meshes quite outstandingly well with King Deco's wonderful vocals. Don't leave this beauty of a track stranded.
Breathe Carolina & APEK ft. Neon Hitch - Lovin
I'll be the first to tell you i'm not into the Dance/EDM/club music scene, and although "Lovin" is a track that's in that genre, i'll admit it's a fun one. I only gave this track a spin because of my love for Neon Hitch and it kind of grew on me. Breathe Carolina + APEK obviously bring enough fist bumping-glow necklace-dance music to bring down a house made of brick, but Neon's vocals give it the wind to do so.
