Kevin Venom & Warholtheghost - Zero Point (Prod Infinitefreefall)

Kevin Venom teams up with Warholtheghost to deliver a collaborative loosie called "Zero Point." The relentless, distorted production, as well as the cover art, come compliments of infinitefreefall. Venom's delivers a morbid verse with a hellish flow in a futile attempt to devise a way to enjoy the pleasures of fame without losing the comfort of anonymity. As solid as the Kevin Venom verse is, it is dwarfed in comparison to the raw, emotional narrative Warholtheghost bares on the beat.

Prefacing his verse with "true story," Warholtheghost takes listeners through a nightmarish retelling of a series of events that changed his life. While driving around looking for his girlfriend, theghost garners the attention of an officer. In response, he mashes the gas pedal harder than you mashed the play button on Untitled Unmastered. In his attempt to evade the officer, he crashes his car and experiences the life summation that frequently precedes death. Fading in and out of consciousness, theghost sees a collage of police and ambulances before waking up in the hospital. Looking around, he fails to find a familiar face, none of his family came.

Their absence induces an epiphany that all theghost cares about are his passions. This realization is complicated, however, when he leaves the hospital and finds out his cousin took his own life that night. This forces him to rationalize his family's absence, leaving him in a conflicted state of internal turmoil, no longer sure about what really matters.

While none of these creators are on the Born Again New York label, this single was released via BANY Records. This is due to the fact that it was originally going on Kevin Venom's upcoming release i eat stars now and shit but didn't make the cut. As i eat stars now and shit is going to be released via BANY Records, "Point Zero" got released via BANY too. It's also interesting to note that Kevin Venom was at The Rap Show Vol 2 featuring a host of BANY performances. So, while Venom is not on BANY currently, that may change in the coming months. Stay tuned.

Let "Zero Point" serve as your preview of what is to come from Kevin Venom. If you dig it, pre-order i eat stars now and shit today. It drops 4/9 via BANY Records.
