Masta Ace has announced North American dates for March and April. Titled The Pre Season Tour accompanying Ace on all dates will be felloweMC member, Stricklin and producer/DJ Kic Beats. Support on the Canadian dates will be Relic and on the U.S. dates Wake Self.
The dates will feature fan-favorite songs from throughout Masta Ace’s 25 plus year career. He will also be giving a sneak peek at some songs from his forthcoming solo album The Falling Season.
To be released later this year, The Falling Season will be Ace’s first official solo album in over a decade! Produced entirely by Kic Beats (Rass Kass, Canibus) Ace recently revealed that the concept album will follow him through his high school years. Announced guests on the album include Chuck D, Cormega, A.G, Wordsworth,Stricklin, Queen Herawin, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, Pearl Gates and Pav Bundy.
In other recent news a two hour documentary about Masta Ace’s 2001 album Disposable Arts has been made available online via YouTube. The documentary is part of the re-issue of the album recently released by Below System Records.
