Open Mike Eagle ft Aesop Rock - I Went Outside Today (Prod Paul White)

Mello Music Group's Open Mike Eagle releases "I Went Outside Today," off of his forthcoming Paul White-produced project Hella Personal Film Festival. Preceded by the panic-inducing "Check to Check" and the reluctantly indulgent "Admitting the Endorphin Addiction," "I Went Outside Today" is the third anticipatory offering.

The production is soulful and expansive, meandering to the edge of cohesion with sweeping scales and seemingly stray samples. Open Mike Eagle's humbly braggadocious verse finds him flexing his proficiencies through the use of unconventional and counterintuitive claims. Independent hip hop veteran Aesop Rock employs a wealth of poetic devices and a melodic delivery to finish off the track with a characteristically cryptic verse rich with hypnotic musicality. Pre-order Hella Personal Film Festival on Bandcamp today, the project drops March 25th.
