Anoop Chaganty - It's Not Rape If I'm In A Fraternity (Video)

Hip-hop is traditionally an artistic medium with which misogyny is closely associated but to be fair, hip-hop alone is not just to blame. The music industry as a whole has been plagued by a general sexist atmosphere and it’s exactly this stereotype that Los Angeles newcomer Anoop Chaganty wishes to counter with his new song and video. While April is known as the Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Anoop gathered a few fellow students and talented filmmakers from USC, to create a music video for his controversial and tho a little obscure, very powerful single "It's Not Rape If I'm In A Fraternity" that holds tremendous social value and viral potential.

"I understand a song of this subject matter is not usually posted about, or rather a song of this nature is not usually made at all.
But it needs to be.
In order to grow as an industry, we must evolve past the sexism that runs rampant within our community. If you agree, or if you like the song and would like to contribute to the conversation, I would be honored if you would post about it. "
