Chicago/L.A. Emcee rep, Gilead7 and So Cal beat-maker Subtrax have announced a full-length vinyl and digital release as "Peaces Of War". The album is to be released on 5/20 as a joint release via Echoes Of Oratory Musik and New Records (UK).
Those hungry for the early experimental Def Jux Records days and the boom-bap underground radio era a la Stretch And Bobbito should be pleased with this offering. Subtrax’s perchance for speaker-piercing breakbeats and avant-garde jazz samples is the perfect foil for Gilead7’s abrasive “art-rap” and Vonnegut style narratives.
Here they deliver the first visual for the poetic banger "Piece Offering" which is directed by Hellsent with cuts from Snagneto.
