Lentra - no help [EP]

BANY's own Lentra the Gawd drops off no help. The four track EP showcases some of the sounds spawned by the Vancouver producer's experimentation over the past two months. It is available for purchase at any price via Lentra's Bandcamp.

We begin with the frantically ethereal "sh!t" which gets its name from the adversarial vocals it samples. This glorious banger sounds like TNGHT tried their hand at producing for a trap rapper. Next, we arrive at "luvstry," a track that takes a piano riff reminiscent of that from Immortal Technique's "Dance With The Devil." After a brief intro, the sample gets intermingled with a slew of synths generously sprinkled in between booming bass and spacey treble. Perhaps the love story alluded to in the track's title exists between the low and high end of the beat. With this interpretation in mind, "real ones" serves as the high end's side of the love story, evidenced by the reprisal of the screeching space synths. Lentra really flexes his melodic muscles on this one. All too soon we have reached the project's concluding track "no help." Despite the persistence of heavy bass, "no help" maintains a delicate, mounting quality resulting in a track that acts as a sequel hook of sorts. no help may be done, but worry not, there is more Lentra to come.
