Lo-fi samurai in training Flaimthrower drops his debut beat tape via Nasty Food Records. While the project features no vocals, Flaimthrower enlists the help of fellow Nasty Food producers gho$t. and o̶xela. on two of the tracks. A little under 14 minutes long, Head In The Clouds is well worth a listen, especially for those in search of fresh beats to flow to. For those interested, it will be available to download via Bandcamp in the coming days.
The tape took this Upstate New Yorker about 3 months to make from start to finish. If that seems like too long to you, keep in mind that he's only 15 and isn't allowed to get on his SP-404 until after all his homework is done. The project's title is rather straightforward, meant to convey its role as both the fruition of Flaim's creative aspirations as well as a conscious consuming endeavor pulling him from his day to day. Stand out tracks are "Petals," "Baja Blast," and "Streetlights."
