Washington Heights emcee, Pearl Gates premieres two joints here with a video for the track “"The Ritual”" featuring Masta Ace from off his recently released EP "The Diamond Mind". Plus a remix track for the song featuring eMC (Masta Ace, Wordsworth + Stricklin’).
"The Ritual embodies the customary practice we undergo as artists, from cutting records in the studio to the release and performance of those records. This particular song is an invitation into my process. The record came together when I was on tour in Europe opening for Masta Ace and eMC. I just wanted to invite the listener into the room to see the progression firsthand.’"
Currently Pearl Gates is working on a full-length album to drop later this year. He also appears on Masta Ace’s new album "The Falling Season" which drops on May 13th.
