For the first time ever in the UK, Raekwon and Ghostface Killah are performing Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... as well as more Wu-Tang classics.
This marks the first UK performance of the legendary, solo debut album of American rapper and Wu Tang Clan member Raekwon. They'll be joined by Manchester 9-piece hip-hop collective The Mouse Outfit, and turntablism master Mr Thing.
Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... was first released on August 1, 1995, by Loud Records and RCA Records. The album was loosely composed to play like a film with Raekwon as the star, fellow Wu-Tang member Ghostface Killah as the guest-star, and producer RZA as the director.
It has received acclaim from music critics and writers over the years, with many lauding it as one of the greatest hip hop albums of all time. With its emphasis on Mafia insinuations and organised crime, the album is widely regarded as a pioneer of the mafioso rap sub-genre. Singles released include Heaven & Hell, Criminology, Ice Cream and Rainy Dayz.
This show offers a rare chance to see these two hip-hop legends performing one of the most pivotal hip-hop albums of the 1990's.
