Just off the heels of his EP, The Glorious BIG, and over a year since his last full length project, A Vintage Love Supreme, Kentucky standout Devine is back with the interlude to the forthcoming Kingtucky album. The name of the track is "God Said I'm the Nicest" and is a lyrical onslaught which features Lexington wordsmith D'Lee and is produced by Philly beat maker, Obvious.
"Kingtucky is a project where I really wanna push the pen. My last project (The Glorious BIG) tried some new things sonically & focused on the music. On the album I really put a focus back on the lyrics. "God Said I'm the Nicest was just me & D'Lee in the studio throwing didn't verses back & forth. The beat was really unorthodox so I had trouble crafting a song with a conventional structure so we chose it as the interlude and we just spazzed on. A lot of layers to this jawn lyrically."
