Lately I haven't been into any of the Pro Era music, especially Joey Badass who seems to have ditched his boom bap roots and has taken the road most traveled by commercial rappers to stay relevant in this overhyped and depressing league of tiresome sub genre's of rap. But to make my day comes fellow member Nyck Caution who yesterday released a new song called “Eyes Closed” in honor of the 1 year anniversary of his father’s passing. The tribute to his father is produced by Freddie Joachim and features Alex Mali. See what Nyck had to say about the track below:
It's been one year since everything happened and it's still such a crazy feeling to know you aren't here anymore. You gave me the courage and determination to keep pushing and it feels almost unfair you're not here to see it all play out. This song is just my letter to you and to let you know I'll always keep my head up and eyes open. You've done more than you will ever know.
