Oakland's Chose Drops Single "Corolla Music"

Raised in Oakland, Chose is a bit of a renaissance man, rapping, producing, and photographing. About a year ago, Chose released the EP "I am Chose," which featured fellow East Bay artists K.E.L.L.S. and Elexia Cook. Since the EP's drop, the rapper has released several singles. The latest, "Corolla Music" is a lovely reflection on growth with lines like "I dipped to Boston / a remote location, they thought they lost him / that was back when my locks weren't as long / ... / that's the old me, he was fearless / and if he's listening, I just hope he hears this." The production is soothing, with acoustic ukulele (I think), that builds with synthesized hand percussion throughout the truck.
