In the summer of 2016, friends and musical collaborators Allen Poe and Teck-Zilla released a 7 track EP titled 'Lightbulb Over My Head While I'm Thinking.' Themed around the teachings of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, at times the project delves into the abstract without losing clarity or purpose. After receiving praise Poe decided to shoot a video for Retroscapes.
The track features Nashville based artist Jung Youth, who had roots in Louisville, Kentucky growing up. After Poe and Jung performed at a show with Amerigo Gazaway in Louisville last summer, they linked afterwards to shoot the video impromptu. The song is both forward and backward looking with Poe recollecting on the past while Jung Youth points towards the future.
