London's own King Kay's 'Winner's Winter' is the perfect hip hop project to carry listeners through to the end of the winter, with its infectious soulful jazz-influenced rap music, over which King Kay displays his effortless flow and compelling lyrics, on excellently crafted songs about relationships, racial and social issues.
With production from Bryson Tiller collaborator J Louis, and a guest appearance from fast-rising UK rapper Knucks, 'Winner's Winter' is inspired by the jazz and soul roots that King Kay grew up with, plus a combination of his musical heroes Lauryn Hill, D'Angelo and Notorious B.I.G.
