Otis Clapp - Helen Keller (prod Ricky Vaughn)

Famed author and political activist Helen Keller (June 27, 1880 – June 1, 1968) was well known for being the first deaf and blind person to ever earn a bachelor of arts degree. She serves as the inspiration for Queens rapper/producer Otis Clapp's latest single. Produced by Ricky Vaughn, "Helen Keller" is title track from Otis's forthcoming EP, due out May 19.

"'Helen Keller' was inspired by the notion of me being unheard or misunderstood. I suppose it's a reference to my music falling on 'deaf ears,' or even people being blind to what I'm doing. Summed up with a spoken word-esque third verse that basically tells listeners to be who you are unapologetically, but to never lose your soul while doing it." - Otis Clapp
