Oakland's Trey Coastal Releases Side-B of "No Layups"

In January, the trio, rappers Cam Moss and Philip Bank$ and producer Rye Mann released their debut EP, No Lay-Ups (Side A). In the first article we described the EP as having "a nice sound, with production largely sampling jazz and acoustic instrumentals. The lyrics too are frank, political, and sincere." Side B too has a similar sound and sentiment ("we were raised by computers"). Side B, though, proved Trey Coastal can consistently produce music that is substantive and listenable. An arguably large feat where other hip hop artists often lean heavily on their beats and lifestyle lyrics. Too we get a nice feature from fellow Oakland rapper K.E.L.L.S.
