New York has been positively buzzing with talent in the underground hip-hop scene these days. But even in a crowded city, ever since his release of the excellent Bury Me in Gold Vol. 1 last year, Harlem's Crimdella has earned a place on our "must follow" list. Thanks to his soulful songwriting and razor-sharp, deeply authentic rhyme style, Crim's quickly made a name for himself in the underground, and with his new video for "On Me (Ft. Dale Novella)" the hungry emcee proves his artistry has just kept on evolving.
"On Me" is a great introduction to Crim if this is the first time you're checking out his tunes; the bouncy and eclectic funk influenced beat provides a perfect template for Crimdella's intricate flows. And for longtime fans who have been following the rapper since his BlackZeus days, the gorgeous music video by No Idea's Original certainly satisfies as one of Crimdella's best visual treatments to date. Bury Me in Gold Vol. 2 is on the way soon, but for now, peep these psychedelic and excellent visuals from Vol. 1's opening track and keep paying attention to one of Harlem's hottest young rappers in the underground scene.
