Rapper Skaa is back with the video to his newest track entitled “Kilimanjaro”. Hailing from the Philippines and currently based out of the US, Skaa’s sound is as unique as his background. Noted for his melodic flow and rhyme, as well as deeply introspective lyrics, the track focuses on the adversities and successes that one encounters in the quest of chasing their dreams.
The newly released video depicts beautiful landscapes that compliment the track’s lush soundscapes. Gorgeous longshots and video effects enhance the track’s beat, while effectively capturing the meaning of the song. The video shows Skaa rapping in an affluent neighbourhood, featuring clips of luxury houses, cars, and surroundings. This is subtly done to demonstrate what can be achieved if you persevere and don’t lose sight of your goals.
Clocking in at just over 2 minutes, it’s incredible how many emotions this track can make us feel in such a short amount of time. “Kilimanjaro’s” lyrics are incredibly relatable, and its visuals equally compelling. Skaa packs in more meaning and sentiment in this track than many of his contemporaries do in a track that’s twice as long.
