St. Louis continues to brand itself as a city without an identity in the scope of the national hip-hop landscape. While it can be seen as quiet, or living in the shadows, artist J'Demul pays no mind. He is a humble cat, and in his single "Times", he catches a wind of boastfulness as he prides himself for his progression as a person. The video is directed by the talented Louis Quatorze, and frames J'Demul in a vignette clouded by a dreamy purple hue. The rapper's confidence and life contradicts the struggling city behind him, making him a character to cling to. The single comes off of his latest release, 17th, which was debuted earlier this year.
