Just like the cold blasts that are synonymous with the Windy
City, James Gardin once again breezes through in the form of a
welcome and life-sized juxtaposition and drops this warm and
catchy ditty, Chitown Boogie.
This fresh new single finds The World's Most Encouraging Rapper
linking up once again with his frequent collaborator,
TheyCallMeHeat, to wax lyrical about the peaks and valleys of life
in his inimitable every-man style fastened with humorous anecdotes
and inconspicuous witticisms. The piano and flute-laced beat
hearkens back to the days of classic sitcoms and Kanye West's
College Dropout-era output. It's the perfect sound for James
Gardin to contemplate his past, present and future challenges such
as him missing his calling because his phone bill hasn't been
paid. In a world full of filters and fabrications, this sort of
honesty is refreshing. This is like therapy in the form of a
two-step so get your boogie on.
Chitown Boogie is out now on Illect Recordings.
