Following an exclusive Def Pen premiere, as well as praise from ELEVATOR, Dontaé's latest effort "Reality Check" is now available for streaming everywhere.
Serving as the lead single off his forthcoming Heat Check EP, the buzzy track finds Dontaé rattling off a fury of bars as he updates friends, foes and others alike on his whirlwind year. For the PHIL-directed clip, the Long Island lyricist rallies up his Valley Boyz crew for a cinematic joyride that could easily rival Hollywood's next big blockbuster.
The Long Island lyricist says this of the infectious track and his debut music video: "'Reality Check' is a culmination of emotions, caused by the evolution of myself along with my music. I've been fueled by these emotions to tap into another level of my artistry. Everyone within the video are the Valley Boyz, my brothers, who just like myself are hungrier than ever to succeed in our respective fields. You cant front on something you can’t be, which is indeed a reality check."
