Chicago based composer and producer Brad Kemp has released his 3rd solo project: an album produced exclusively for
listening to in headphones.
Kemp heightens the production of each track by pushing elements of the
sound in and out of right and left ears – creating an effect that feels
as if each song is dancing just for you. Featuring his signature style of
sampling musicals, 70s hits and modern classics; he effortlessly mixes
those sonic elements with live piano and synths to create songs that
range from melancholy, introspective ballads to in-your-face
bangers. The result is a truly unique auditory experience that’s
best enjoyed alone.
Previously, Kemp has collaborated on projects with Chris Redd (SNL),
MFnMelo (Pivot Gang), Femdot (Closed Sessions) and Fashawn (Mass Appeal
Records). He currently owns and operates Second Bedroom Studio where he
collaborates with artists such as Vagabond Maurice, Chore Boy and Glitter
Moneyyy. He is also the producer and 1/3 of Comedy Hip Hop
trio: Handsome Naked (NBC's Bring The Funny, Billboard
Comedy Top 10, #2 iTunes Comedy Chart).
LISTEN IN HEADPHONES was released Thursday, March 26 at 7
PM CST on Youtube featuring a video of artist Amy Couey creating the
album art. The album will be available for streaming on all platforms the
following day, Friday, March 27.
