First things first, shouts out to Grimm Doza for repping New Jersey with pride. The underground artist has grown a reputation as an oddball on the MIDI with an ability to add a special ambience to his quality production. The project tastes grimy, obviously, but also feels like a really solid arena for a laundry list of overlooked emcees to have some healthy competition. Tenured rappers like Nickelus F and Bishop Nehru fill slots along side underground staples like Sha Hef, Medhane, and Ankhlejohn. The hard hitting Florida trap stars Wifisfuneral and Robb Bank$ close out the LP with "Payout".
Grimm and Evil is a great listen for a variety of hip-hop fans and a great look for the young Grimm Doza. Don't sleep on the project. Check out the tracklist and stream it below.
