Nametag Alexander follows up his most recent effort Hello Victory, with “Work. Win. Repeat.” The EP. The body of work was influenced by the mantra single of the same title from 2019, originally produced by
Black Bethoven, featuring Junii. With duration being only 18 minutes, and change, ‘Tag manages to display just enough artistic vulnerability on tracks like “Dusk” and “Soul Speak”, while still maintaining his known lyrical bravado
on “Grands.” The “just stay focused” mentality is what makes the EP relatable, and there’s a clear intent to inspire based on the Les Brown clips throughout a few of the songs. Overall, Nametag properly delivers with this EP as “Work.
Win. Repeat.” defines continuous self improvement opposed to winning solely to impress others.
