The Cincinnati beat collective Fort Ancient Records returns as a group for the single “First Step Across” in advance of their forthcoming album, Zoo Heist. The collective has released two previous projects as a full label with Gatsby (2017) and First Team (2018). Known for their classic boombap sound and sample-based production, Fort Ancient has published numerous works from a wide variety of Cincinnati-based producers and artists.
