Two days ago Accent gave his fans controlling power of their own musical destiny as he challenged everyone to a Twitter/Instagram favoriting contest. If he got enough likes/favorites, the best poet rapping would release two hidden gems that didn't make it on his album, The Last Lyricist. Being both produced by Kid Vision, Accent goes off with supreme lyricism as per usual, on the raw + unfinished tracks.
From under the underground, comes one that none had found
Something upward bound from beneath but a hundred tons in pounds
The cluttered rubble s’rrounds my feet as I clean a dusty crown
And put it down neatly,it gleams when it seems to clutch my brow
But what a foul scene I see when people rush in crowds
Cutting each other down just to drown in their brothers’ guts
The sound of sputtered utterances is covered by muskets, pistols
Ruckus, the whistle of incoming missiles and other destructive cripple-
-ing guns in rituals that disrupt, belittle and expunge the ghettos
What runs ripples from the drums that echo
What to them resembles a means to an end
To us the devil, and very well means the end
But whatever right, you never did believe in him
‘til he looked you in his eyes and he breathed you in
Frequently men’ll see a gem and reap the benefits of demondom
But neither him whose speech offends can be a king whose free among
Greedy grins from feats with them you needed then’s deceitful fun
When leaking phlegm the peace will end so keep it in or cleave your tongue
See the suns and reach for one or be the young that bleeds from lung
‘cause he discussing evil done’s who really does foresee it brung
Seeking sums of greener funds at fees of blood is easy but
Achieve another medium to eat your couple measly crumbs
Equals suffer deeply once the streets succumb to feeding dumber
Theories of superiority in stunned deliriums
The meek shall trudge the seas and jungles, beaches, country’nd fields of dust
When we abruptly cease the numbered species strut succeeding us
In nineteen eighty six Kinetics came on Haley’s Comet
We 20 later met, you’ll never be the same without us
You see they’re here to help you save yourself
But I’m here to save you from yourself when a hatred swells and the pain as well
the only one the blame is the face in your medication shelf b
so when you aim it elsewhere the shame that’s felt is a flame that melts
and makes you wilt, the dangerous will remain in hell
but I lied ‘cause that’s on a earthly place right beside the pearly gates
which exist in the eyes of a troubled “sinner”,
one of which is purple because a guy that was drunk had hit her
now her husband’s bitter and still I can sense goodness in her
when light dies, so does color of a vibrant shrub that withers
“Sin” is, merely a word given meaning by men
That meant to control us solely ‘cause it was convenient for them
Talk about using God’s name in vain
The same cross bearer’s brought terror in wrong error when they arranged the trad
They made them wait eighty days with their ankles chained enraged
So tell me that’s not for racist gain that the slave ships came
Those demons were crazier than baby drowners,
They should of been slain down then laid in ground or taken to insane asylums
I like life, sure, but for real though
I’d gladly sacrifice it to reverse the extinction of the tainos
While that’d deem me a hero there’s evil in my blood
But so are dwindling remnants of a people that I love, viva Borinquen
