D.R.O. collabs with fellow Toronto producer JULIAN DA JUGGA to sneak drop a 6-track mixtape called Organic Deep Space. He released the project for free as a way to thank the DROMOB for all the support they give him. The only tag for the project is "Trap" which is understandable as he samples everyone from 3-6 Mafia to OG The Juiceman. That being said, the chopped and screwed influences cannot be ignored. Rather than using short hitting 808s he draws them out to let them resonate in their full form. This, in tandem with the drowned out vocals, makes for a dark, full-bodied project that can only be fully appreciated through a thick lean-induced haze.
What is most impressive to me, is the fact that D.R.O. can drop a project like this one week and then lend his hand to The Palmer Squares on a guitar-centric track like "Never Had Nothin'" the next. The versatility cannot be denied. Press play and join the MOB today.
