OK-THO PREMIERE: Yates ft. ZIGGY - "Pull Up On Me" (Music Video)

Continuing a hot streak of slapping hits-in-the-making to come out of San Jose's upcoming rap scene this year, South Bay Area rapper Yates' lead single from the upcoming If The Shoe Fits LP has all the markings of a future Bay classic. Crisp drums and booming bass from the legend Traxamillion's original production compliments the vocals from Yates and ZIGGY perfectly, highlighting the natural swagger and pop potential in the two San Jose based Emcees. And the visual treatment assembled by Home Video (Tyler Acosta & Zero Luck) pushes all of the natural charisma from both rappers to the forefront, adding a ton of shine to a single that's already glowing with potential.

We've been following ZIGGY closely since long before his recent feature on Philthy Rich's "Right Now" remix alongside E-40 and Too Short, and Yates has been building  the San Jose scene alongside ZIGGY for a minute now; their collaboration here represents a moment of triumph after years of grinding and exploring sounds and styles. With the release of "Pull Up On Me," Yates cements himself firmly as one of the leading figures in Bay Area rap, and guarantees his upcoming If The Shoe Fits project will be an important entry into the Bay's modern hip-hop history.
